How To Prepare Flowers

  • Remember fresh flowers make the most beautiful candles.
  • Flower heads may include all varieties and sizes roses, gerbera daisies, stargazer lilies, carnations, stock, etc. Please note that large sunflowers and spider mums generally do not dry well.
  • In addition to the flower heads, please include several stems of greenery per candle.
  • Loosely wrap flower heads and greenery in newspaper, twist ends, and fold under. Brown paper bags can be used as well, just roll closed.
  • Do not overstuff the bag - use several bags if necessary.
Cutting Flowers
  • If flowers need to be kept separate, wrap separately. Use a marker to label with name or with special instructions.
  • Obtain Priority Mail boxes from the Post Office. They have a variety of sizes - all at no charge.
  • Sending your flowers Priority main will give you a tracking number and insures your package for $50 at no additional cost.
  • You may wish to set up an account with the post office to print labels and postage.
  • Keep flowers cool, but DO NOT FREEZE.
  • When shipping during extreme heat or cold limit shipping flowers to Monday-Wednesday.
